Semami Architect is a native Mac editor for software architecture diagrams written in PlantUML. Type on the left, watch the diagram render on the right, and click the diagram to edit the text behind it. Diagrams are plain text files, so your team can share them and keep them alongside the code they describe. PLAIN FILES, SHARED BY YOUR TEAM A diagram is a plain PlantUML text file, not a picture locked inside an app. Every diagram is a .puml file in a folder you choose: a project is a folder, with diagrams at its top level or in its subfolders. • Plain text, next to the code: keep diagrams in the same repository as the systems they describe, and review a change as a text diff with the tools you already use. • Open and carry on: a teammate opens the same folder as a project and picks up where you left off. • Share a link: copy a diagram as a PlantUML link and anyone can open it in a web browser, with nothing to install. • Nobody else needs the app: the files are standard PlantUML, with no proprietary format and no account. LIVE, CLICKABLE PREVIEW Rendering happens on your Mac with a bundled PlantUML engine, so it works offline and nothing leaves your machine. Click a component to jump to its line. Double-click a relationship label to edit it in place. Drag an arrow end to retarget it, or connect two elements without writing the line yourself. The text stays the single source of truth. ELEMENT LIBRARY Search thousands of icons by name, drop them into the diagram, and the right includes are added for you. Add your own images to My Library and use them like any built-in icon. TIDY LAYOUT One click reorganises a busy diagram: fewer crossings, fewer overlaps, the same source, changed only where it helps. WRITE-UPS WITH LIVE DIAGRAMS Markdown pages sit alongside diagrams and embed them. When a diagram changes, the page's picture updates. Copy a page for Confluence with the images inline. PRESENT Presentation mode turns a set of open tabs into a full-screen walkthrough, with a notebook view for tall diagrams. WORKS WITH YOUR AI ASSISTANT, ON YOUR TERMS Semami Architect has no AI of its own and sends nothing to one. Agent Access is a local, opt-in MCP server: the AI assistant your organisation has already approved and governs, running under your policies and your keys, can create and update diagrams in your workspace through structured, validated specs. It listens only on this Mac, is off by default, and is gated by a token you issue and can revoke.
