It quietly captures the active work context throughout your day and turns it into a useful record of your work. Review your timeline, correct anything unclear, and finish the day with a grounded summary instead of trying to reconstruct it from memory. See the day clearly - Get a calm Today overview with tracked time, focus, moments, projects, and unaccounted gaps. - Browse Activity Log and Timeline views with precise start times, end times, and durations. - See how your time is distributed across projects and categories. - Use Statistics, Journal, and weekly review tools to turn activity into insight. Keep the record honest - Every activity is tied to an observed app and window context. - Screenshots, OCR text, confidence, and evidence counts remain available when analysis needs explanation. - Unclear analysis is labeled clearly instead of being presented as fact. - Sleep, idle periods, overnight gaps, and duplicate observations are excluded from time totals. Correct it in seconds - Mark activities as Needs review, Confirmed, or Ignored. - Edit the task, project, category, and description. - Merge related sessions or split an interval that contains more than one task. - Apply review and reclassification changes to multiple activities at once. - See corrections flow through Today, Statistics, Journal, and exports. Designed for privacy - Track two ways, your choice: add activities yourself with no permissions or AI setup, or turn on optional automatic tracking. - Automatic tracking is opt-in and uses Screen Recording only — Hindsight never requests Accessibility access. - Activity data is stored locally on your Mac by default and is never sent to us. - On-device OCR and analysis can keep evidence on your Mac. - If you configure your own compatible AI provider for automatic tracking, the required content is sent directly from your Mac to that provider according to your settings. - Notion publishing is optional and only occurs when you configure and use the integration. Hindsight is built to help you remember your work—not to judge how you spend it. You stay in control of the timeline, the evidence, and every correction.
