Foyer is a rehearsal room for the conversations that are hard to start.
You pick a scene — a coffee shop, a phone call, an interview — and you speak out loud. The
person on the other side plays their part, and waits. For as long as it takes.
NOTHING HERE WILL CUT YOU OFF
There is no timer on you at any point. In testing, the longest silence was 51 seconds and
the scene never once cut in. That is not a setting you switch on. It is the one rule the
whole app is built around.
IT WILL NOT COMMENT ON HOW YOU SPEAK
Not your pace, not your pauses, not your fluency. It will not finish your words or guess
what you were trying to say. It will not praise you for speaking well either — that is
still a comment on your speech.
IT MEASURES SOMETHING ELSE
After every rehearsal, one question: was there a word you wanted to say, but swapped or
skipped? Plenty of people sound fluent by trading every hard word for an easier one, and
pay for it in what they never got to say. Foyer keeps that list — and gives you a way to
cross things off it.
A LADDER, NOT A COURSE
Five levels, thirty scenes. A counter, then saying your own name, then the phone, then
holding your ground, then a room with people in it. A step closes when you have done it on
two different days, because doing it once can be a good day — and doing it again cannot.
No streaks. Nothing resets. Steps you have cleared stay cleared.

Each with their own voice and their own way of being. They turn up across the scenes, and

No account, no sign-in. Your voice is never stored and no transcript is kept. Your progress
lives on your phone.

replace a speech and language therapist. The app links to professional bodies who can help
you find one.
