First release! Read markdown, csv, images and more remotely and privately.
RemoteRead connects directly over SSH and gives you a quiet, read-only browser for the files that
are already there. Open Markdown with proper formatting, turn CSV and TSV files into useful tables,
inspect a source file with line numbers and find, or zoom in on an image.
Use a password, import an Ed25519 or RSA key, generate a new one, or leave authentication to
something like Tailscale SSH. Custom ports and starting folders work too.
Recently opened documents are cached on the device for spotty connections and protected with iOS
file encryption.
RemoteRead reads:
• Markdown, with a source toggle
• Plain text and source files, with line numbers, wrapping, and find
• CSV and TSV as scrollable tables
• PNG, JPEG, GIF, HEIC, HEIF, WebP, and SVG images
Your files stay between your device and your server.
