NOTES • A page for today, and a journal of the days before it • Tasks gathers every unticked box from every note • Spaces you name yourself, pinned notes, and a Recently deleted that waits 30 days • Markdown styles itself as you type. Boxes tick, links open, formulas render in place • Start a note from the app icon, a widget, Control Center, the share sheet or Shortcuts READING • Highlights has its own tab. Filter by book, colour or tag, and collect a few passages into one note • Tag passages in your own words, and rename or merge tags later • The passage of the day shows others in your library that share its rarer words • Footnotes open at the foot of the page instead of taking you away from it • Tap a figure to see it at full size, look up a word from a selection, share a passage as an image • Links to PDFs arrive as PDFs, and formulas and tables in articles survive the import • Bring your highlights from Kindle or Readwise, or export the whole library as Markdown
