Enea is your guide to Gaeta. Not a list to scroll through: you ask, and it answers.
"What can I see in half a day?" "Where can I eat fish tonight without spending a fortune?" "How do I get to Montagna Spaccata?" Enea answers with cards, maps and up-to-date opening hours, not generic links.
CICERONE, THE WALKING AUDIO GUIDE
Pick a route or just wander: when you reach a place, Enea tells you its story in your ear, even with your phone in your pocket and the screen off. More than 60 places in Gaeta, in five languages: Italian, English, French, German and Spanish. Every story can also be heard from afar with "Listen now", and "Try it from home" lets you take a test walk before you set off.
WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Hear the story of each place as you walk, with Cicerone
• See what's around you: beaches, monuments, restaurants, car parks
• Get a walking or driving route, with restricted traffic zones (ZTL) flagged
• Check the real opening hours of museums, churches and monuments
• Follow ready-made itineraries, from one hour to a full day
• Know the weather at sea, not just in the sky: waves, wind, sheltered beaches
• Browse the digital menus of partner restaurants and bars: dishes with photos, allergens, wines and prices
• If you are staying with a partner property: open its Welcome Book, with videos, tips and menus in your language, and call the concierge by voice
NO ACCOUNT
No sign-up needed. Open the app and it works. No ads, no profiling, no tracking tools.
PERMISSIONS, AND WHY
• Location: to show you what's nearby, plan routes and, during a Cicerone tour, start the story when you reach a place, even with the screen off. You can say no and still use the app.
• "Always" location: only if you allow it, to let you know when you are near an interesting place or about to enter a ZTL, even with the app closed. It stays on your phone; we never send it anywhere.
• Notifications: only for these alerts.
• Microphone: only during a call or when you dictate a question. The audio is not recorded.
• Camera and photos: only if you choose to send Enea a picture of a dish, a place or a sign to recognise.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Answers are generated by an AI assistant (Google Gemini). The app asks for your consent before sending any data, and you can flag a wrong or inappropriate answer with the thumbs down.
