Drive now shows density altitude in real time — worked out from your phone's barometer and Apple Weather's temperature and humidity — so you can see why the same road feels different at 3 pm than it did at 7 am. Privacy-focused update: LPR on the map and ahead of you. Automatic license-plate readers have quietly gone up on most main roads. Drive now shows the ones the OpenStreetMap community has mapped — a marker for each camera near you, and a one-line heads-up as you approach one: how far ahead it is and which way it faces. The list is built into the app, so nothing about your drive leaves your phone to look one up. It is community-mapped and incomplete: no alert does not mean no camera. Also in this update: • A smaller download. Two images were carrying far more pixels than any screen can show, and a third was never used at all.
