Mark II is a Markdown editor for macOS. Two editing modes • Source mode edits the actual Markdown text, preserving whitespace, line endings, and incomplete syntax. • Formatted mode lets you edit headings, paragraphs, lists, task items, quotes, code, tables, links, images, and attachments in a rich-text surface. • Both modes work on the same file. Simply switching modes does not modify the document. File workflow • Supports .md, .markdown, .mdown, .mkd, .txt, and .text. • Open multiple files from Finder or the Open panel, each with its own window and undo history. • Drag, paste, and import images and attachments. Managed resources can be stored in a .assets folder beside the document. • Restore open saved document windows after a normal quit. Focused editing • Find and replace, undo and redo, character count, table of contents, and interactive line numbers. • Table editing, math, Mermaid diagrams, alerts, footnotes, and common Markdown formatting. • System, Colorful, Mist, and Parchment themes, with 50%–300% zoom. • Export to plain text, RTF, RTFD, PDF, and HTML. Mark II runs in the App Sandbox and accesses only files you explicitly choose or open. The interface is available in Simplified Chinese and English. Requires macOS 14 or later.
