Start the tour and put the phone away. As you reach a place, the guide starts talking about it - the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Bondi, the Rocks, Paddington, Watsons Bay, the beaches and the bush behind them. You press nothing. The app works out where you are, how fast you are moving and which way you are facing, and says "on your left" or "on your right". No other audio guide does this.
170+ places across Sydney, two and a half hours of commentary, and a twenty-eight-hour podcast about Australia that fills the gaps between them. When the next place is ten minutes away, the podcast plays; when you arrive, the guide takes over; when the story ends, the podcast picks up where it stopped. No silence on a long drive.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
- It tells you where to look. "On your right" is worked out from your heading, not guessed. The only GPS guide that does.
- It speaks by itself. No list to scroll, no button to press at every corner.
- No dead air. Between places you hear a podcast about Australia - way of life, history, nature, records, myths - and you can pick any episode from the list.
- It keeps running with the screen off, in a pocket or a bag, walking, cycling, on a bus or in a car.

FOR WALKING, RIDING AND DRIVING
The commentary is timed to how fast you are going. On foot you get the detail; at 60 km/h you get the story that fits the block you are passing. If a place is behind you, the guide says so instead of pretending you are arriving.
IN THE CAR
Listen on the phone, or through the car speakers over Bluetooth. Australian road rules keep a car's own screen dark while driving, so the phone in a mount is what shows the map - and the guide does the talking anyway.
WHAT YOU HEAR
Written and voiced by Andrew Sorokin, a licensed Sydney guide working here since 2006, and voiced with an AI model of his own voice - which is how one guide covers 170+ places and sounds the same at the last one as at the first.

• A quick stop and start no longer carries the old direction into the new tour — the guide waits until it knows which way you are facing, and reads the compass when you are standing still.
