Faster: photos in Yours now load right away instead of spinning.

Take photos right in the app, then edit them: remove the background, crop, adjust the light or add a look — all on your phone. Vote alerts: get a heads-up when votes come in on your matchups — the first vote, then 3, 5, 10 and on. Bracket ladders: A vs B, C vs D, then the winners face off until one is left.

New: Groups. Make a private group — roommates, the wedding party, your book club — and share one invite link. Friends tap it and they're in, no account needed. Post a matchup to the group and only members see it. Switch between Everyone and your groups from the top of the Vote tab. Also: Mood check now tells you when you're calmer, livelier, cozier or more adventurous than usual.

New: Mood check. Tap the sparkles on the Vote tab for five quick picks — calm lake or crashing waves, a cup of tea or fireworks — and see where today lands between Calm and Lively, Cozy and Adventurous. After a few check-ins you'll see how today compares with your usual. Just for fun, and your results stay on your iPhone.

Fixed: swipe matchups could get stuck and ignore your swipe. You can now swipe or simply tap the one you like. Hold a photo to see all of it, then move your finger to zoom in and look around. Let go and you're back, nothing chosen.

Hold any photo to see all of it. Cards crop photos to fit the screen; press and hold one to see the whole image, then let go and choose. Swipe matchups are back side by side, so a swipe left or right always means the photo on that side. Matchups with AI-generated images are now labelled.

Photos fit their cards. Matchups now lay out by the shape of the photos, so landscape shots get the full width and you see the whole subject instead of a sliver of it. Three-photo matchups are a knockout. Slide one out, the others close up, and you pick between the last two. Sound effects for voting, knockouts and the starting spin. They follow your silent switch, and you can turn them off in Settings.

Ladder matchups: post up to eight photos and let the winner stay on. Two at a time — keep one, the next comes to challenge it, and the last one standing takes it. Also new: • Slide a photo away to get rid of it, instead of tapping the one you like. • Pinch any photo to zoom in, or out to see the whole shot. • Open the app and a quick spin picks a matchup to start you off.

Photos in every matchup are now cropped around their subject, so nothing important gets cut off — especially in swipe mode.

Shared links now open straight into the app when you have it installed — no more detour through Safari. Also in this update: • The age check can no longer be tripped by a mis-scroll, and a mistaken answer is recoverable. • The Vote tab never runs dry. • Report and block are available on every matchup, including ones you open from a link. • Network problems show a retry instead of spinning forever. • Likogram now lives at likogram.com.
