SECURE BY DESIGN
Shepherd connects through SSH with host-key verification. Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. Terminal and workspace traffic goes directly between your iPhone or iPad and your machine; the optional Shepherd relay is used only for notification and Live Activity updates.
REQUIREMENTS
Shepherd Desktop and sheperd-service must be installed on a reachable Mac or Linux machine. Shepherd Mobile is designed for the Shepherd protocol and is not a general-purpose SSH client.
Shepherd Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. Pro unlocks multiple saved machines, Live Activities, agent notifications, iCloud server sync, and additional terminal shortcuts. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in App Store account settings.

Shepherd on iPad is now desktop-class.
• New iPad layout: a sidebar for servers, workspaces and agents, equal-width terminal and file tabs, and a Files / Changes / History panel beside the terminal.
• Files open as a temporary preview tab, like on desktop. Tap again or edit to keep it.
• Terminal file links open in the side panel so the terminal stays in view.
• Usage view shows token activity and remaining agent limits; server notifications appear with a history next to Settings.
• Terminal keys and the composer rise above the keyboard, and hardware keyboards type straight into the terminal.
• Holding an arrow key in the key row repeats and speeds up like a hardware keyboard.
• Links and file paths open even inside mouse-enabled agents; images open directly in the file view.
• Files can browse folders outside the workspace.
• Typing is no longer lost when hiding the keyboard, and history and change lists no longer flicker while agents work.
