Shelves: the books your desktop app has made, and a public shelf of free ones. • Shelves, in your library. Scan the code on the Libratory desktop app's Phone page and every book it has made is a tap away, over your own Wi‑Fi or Tailscale. Each book shows what it offers — read + listen, two languages, words or sentences lit, voice, length and a description — and lands in your library like an import. • A public shelf of free, narrated classics is built in, with a two-language Frankenstein among them. Nothing to set up. • In a two-language book, tap a word's tip while paused to hear just that word. • Speaking practice and making books on the phone are on the way. Both can be asked for from the app.

Two-language books read on through the end of a chapter. • With the phone locked, a two-language book now carries on into the next chapter instead of stopping until you unlock it and press Play. • The next chapter is read in the language you were listening to. • During a pause after a sentence, its last word and its tip no longer stay lit.

Listen to two languages your own way. • Alternate sentences is now Sentence pairs, and the gear opens all of the listening options at once. • Each language keeps its own speed, from 0.5× to 2×: hear the language you are learning slowly and your own at its usual pace. • Play each sentence up to five times, and leave a pause after the last plays to say it back. A preview shows how one sentence will sound and how long it takes.

Read a book in two languages, and keep your library in order. • Two languages: a book exported with a translation opens with the original and the translation together, each with its own voice. Tap a word to hear the book from there, or to see what it means in the other language. Alternate sentences reads each sentence in one language and then the other. • The original can stay on its printed page beside the translation. • On iOS 15 and 16, two-language books open in a simpler two-pane reader, and the page gains Column, Page and Text views with a Fit button. • Folders and tags for your books, a search across the whole library, and a confirmation before anything is deleted (iOS 17 or later). • Each book says which chapters light up word by word and which sentence by sentence. • Choose how two languages sit on the screen: side by side, or one above the other.

Libratory now runs on iPad and on iOS 15.6 and later. • A simpler reader on iOS 15 and 16 supports Pages and Text, playback, live highlighting, chapters and saved progress.
