Calls that stay up -A brief Wi-Fi drop no longer ends your call. If the connection wobbles you will see "Reconnecting" and the call picks up again where it left off, with the timer carrying on rather than restarting. Only if the connection cannot be restored does the call end, and now it tells you why. Ring with your own ringtone -Incoming calls can now ring through the iPhone call screen, using the ringtone you chose in Settings, and you can answer or decline from there. Turn it on in Settings under Calls. It is off to begin with, so nothing changes until you switch it on. A better profile picture -Choosing a picture now lets you move and zoom to frame exactly the part you want, and you can take a new photo with the camera instead of only picking from your library. Your picture also shows on the radar alongside everyone else's. Fixes -Fixed a crash that could close the app while setting a profile picture. -Calls over the internet now reach you without needing to open the Global tab first.

Huge update! This update repairs Global calling and messaging over the internet. • Adding a friend by their code or QR now works. Earlier versions could say "Could not add that contact" even when the code was correct, and the invitation was never sent. • Fixed a bug that ended a Global call moments after it started, so the person you called never had a chance to answer. • The first message in a brand new chat now appears, instead of the conversation staying blank until you reopened it. • Fixed the app closing when opening the QR scanner on some devices. • Calls now work on devices that have no camera. • Recents and Contacts no longer show a repeated old call when you open the Global tab. • A call that cannot start now tells you why instead of returning to the previous screen without explanation. Local Wi-Fi calling is unchanged. It still needs no SIM, no data and no internet connection.

Incoming calls now ring -Calls used to arrive silently. There is a proper ringtone and vibration now, and it respects your ring switch, so a call stays quiet when your phone is set to silent. Permissions are handled properly -If you decline a permission, the app respects that. It simply tells you which feature needs it and moves on. Nothing keeps asking, and nothing sends you off to Settings. Declining the microphone no longer blocks the app either, so finding nearby devices, messaging and your call history all keep working. Calls no longer need the camera -Declining camera access used to stop calls connecting at all. Calls now run as audio only, and video stays there as something you can turn on mid call. See which Wi-Fi you are on -The Nearby screen can now show your network name, which makes it easier to tell that you and the person you are calling are on the same Wi-Fi. Ad free windows -Watch a short ad and the app stays ad free for 4 hours. Watch again any time to extend it. A note on ads -This version introduces a small banner on the main tabs. It never appears during a call, and it takes up no space at all when it cannot load, which is what happens on a Wi-Fi network with no internet. Also in this update -Fixed three crashes, including one that happened every time you closed a chat. -Tidied up the intro screens and stopped the keyboard following you out of them. Settings now shows live permission status, and tapping a permission there actually does something.
