Seventy films and series have used Charleston and the towns around it. Every one of them left a list of locations. None of them left a day. Standshot is that day. Seven routes so far, each one a set of real places in an order that does not double back, with what was filmed at every stop, the address, and how to get in. EVERY LOCATION IS FREE Sixty locations, the films shot at each, the addresses, the access notes and the parking. Free to read in the app and free to read on standshot.com, whether or not you ever buy anything. A location list that hides locations is not a location list. WHAT THE WEEK OPENS The Week is seven days of the app guiding you, in every town. The day itself, carried on the phone while you are out in it: - It sorts the stops by how far away you are, not by the order they were written. Two hours and you are in Mount Pleasant, so it starts with Mount Pleasant. - It tells you when you have arrived, while it is open. - It works with no signal. Download the map and the photographs before you leave, which matters because the places these routes go are the places without bars. TICKING A PLACE OFF IS FREE Mark a place you have stood in and it stays marked. Ticking works signed out, on the free walk, without paying for anything. Sign in and it follows you to a new phone and to a trip next year. RESEARCHED BY ONE PERSON, ON THIS COAST Netflix publishes location lists. The tourism board blogs them. What nobody hands you is which of them are worth the drive, in what order, and how long it really takes. That is the part that took the time, and it is the part this is for. Seven routes today, one of them a free walk through the peninsula. Not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any studio, network or production company. Titles are referenced to describe what was filmed where. All location information is independently researched.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

Stops show their photograph whole now, with the place's name underneath. Tick a stop and it stays ticked everywhere. A place on two routes reads as visited on both, and a tick can be taken back. A scene's clip starts where the scene starts, and plays over the stop. Near you says which route each place is on. Walking stops have one button, Walk there. Turn-by-turn is still under the map if you prefer it. Larger Text wraps instead of cutting words off, and the controls over the map follow Reduce Transparency. A place with no photograph yet asks whether you have one. Plainer words throughout, and a lot of small fixes.
