First, a fix. On earlier versions, your save could stop saving after about five brackets, and anything played after that point was lost when the app restarted. 1.3 fixes it. Saves you already have shrink the first time you open 1.3, and each new bracket takes a fraction of the space. If room ever runs low, the oldest finished brackets are cleared and your Legacy keeps every run. Progress lost before this update can't be restored. NEW WAYS TO PLAY • The Projected 2026–27 season: play next season before it tips off, with returning players named. Its runs go in their own Projected ledger. • Create a Full Roster: pick any year, take a team's spot and build nine from anyone in history, with no budget. It's a sandbox and counts toward nothing. • Matchup Lab: edit both rosters, then play one game or a batch of sims. • 119 missions, up from 81, with two new packs: The Last Season (2026) and Title Defense. LOOK, SOUND AND FEEL • New motion, sound and haptics across the game. • A rebuilt net-cutting ceremony. HISTORY • Historical data fixes: some rosters now show real players where the game used stand-ins, and the 1957 title game now shows its triple overtime. ACCESSIBILITY • Clearer VoiceOver labels, visible keyboard focus, and layouts that hold at larger text sizes on iPhone and iPad. PRIVACY • A consent fix: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, install measurement now starts only if you agree in the consent form. • A new Play Data setting: an optional summary of how you play, sent to us to improve the game. It is off by default in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Turn it off any time in Settings › Play Data. Cut the Nets is free, with occasional ads between games. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off for good.

Two title games in the record book were missing their overtime mark. They have it now. THE CHAMPIONSHIP RECORD • 1957 is marked as the triple-overtime final it was — North Carolina 54–53 over Kansas, still the only 3OT title game. • 1961 is marked as an overtime final — Cincinnati 70–65 over Ohio State. • Both were checked against the official championship record book and the tournament's own bracket before the change was made. Nothing else in the archive moved. FIXES • Taps are briefly ignored right after an ad appears, so a tap meant for the game no longer opens an ad by accident. • Ads are prepared earlier, so a break between games is less likely to stall. • Smaller fixes throughout. Cut the Nets is free, with occasional ads between games. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off for good.

Cut the Nets 1.1: a new game engine, and more ways to play it. • Every new bracket plays on a player-by-player engine: real rotations, fouls, fatigue, substitutions and timeouts, with an exact box score. Runs you already have replay on the engine that played them, score for score. • Coach with a style and a tempo. Pick both before tip-off and change either one at a timeout or at halftime. • Rewrite mode: swap anyone from history into any spot before tip-off, with no budget. The budget game is its own mode. • After the buzzer: how it was decided, the player of the game, the key moments, and more cards to share, with a preview first. • Two new ways to watch: Smart Watch slows down for the plays that decide a game and speeds through the rest, and Key Moments plays only the moments that swing it. Or sim ahead to the next decision. • A reworked net-cutting ceremony: a "Cut a strand" button, and a banner card with your road to the title. • Three daily goals, a streak you protect by playing, and a season ladder with banners to collect. • Program Journey: play one school's tournament history in order. • Matchup Lab: any two teams, any era, one game or a batch of sims. • Mission filters, new Legacy filters by era and by mode, and favorite teams. • Two-pane layouts on larger iPad screens, and pages that still fit at the largest text sizes. • Fixes and polish across every mode.

Fixes and polish for Create-a-Team. • Created teams now show the rating they really play at, on Pregame, the Team Sheet and the Create screen. • Eight redrawn colourways for your own program. • Box scores split points properly when your created roster includes a lower-rated player. • The champion moment after Sim Tournament now plays out in full before anything else. • A new support address: support@cutthenets.io. • Other bug fixes.

The biggest update since launch. • A new Home screen: pick any team from any of 82 seasons in one tap. • 81 missions, up from 18, built from real tournament moments. • Share your exact bracket with a link. Friends play the same field in the app or in a browser. • Your ledger now syncs across your devices with iCloud. • Rivalry banners, a live lead tracker and a new halftime and timeout huddle. • See your bracket next to what really happened, round by round. • Retuned team ratings for more believable scores and margins. • The daily bracket now follows your local day.
