YouWill: What You Will

Shakespeare on your problems

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

You describe a situation — at work, in love, in your family — and YouWill brings you the case from Shakespeare's canon that contains the same mechanism: the lesson it yields, the questions worth asking, and the passage that applies, with act and scene. Not a quote of the day. The passage that is about you — and every line the app shows is checked against the text, word by word, before you see it. THREE DOORS A guide. Bring a problem to Hamlet and get the case that resembles it: the mechanism, the lesson, the questions. Not advice — a precedent to read. A diary. Write a page a day: Rosalind tells you what she reads in it, and what you feel finds a name among 152 emotions, with its family, its origin, and how to move through it. A stage. Sit with a character and question their part: what they say, what the text gives, and what the text does not say. For actors preparing a role, for students, and for anyone who loves the canon. WHAT IS INSIDE • The whole canon: 38 plays, 4 poems and the 154 sonnets, browsable — free, always • 117 cases and 50 frameworks drawn from the plays, with 393 quotations verified against the text • Five characters who work with you: Hamlet on doubt, Puck on the library, Prospero on emotion, Yorick on games, Rosalind on your diary • A diary reminder at the hour you choose, and the occasional greeting from Prospero • 23 languages. The verses stay in English — a translated line is no longer a quotation — with a plain-prose rendering underneath HOW THE COUNT WORKS Every account starts with a few free readings. After that, readings are bought in packages, once: there is no subscription and nothing renews. The canon, the games, the emotion map and your diary stay free even when your readings run out. WHAT IT IS NOT It is a tool for reflection, not therapy and not legal, medical or financial advice. The replies are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, the app stops and shows you real emergency contacts instead of a reading.

Version 1.4 renews the app from top to bottom. • New, more realistic scenes: oil-painting light and film-noir dark. • Characters speak their Shakespeare line in a speech bubble, with the explanation below. • Rosalind: keep a page to yourself, hand it in whenever you like, and dictate it aloud. • Yorick: leave a game and find it exactly where you left it. • The cost of each reading, and how many you have left, always next to the button. • Many fixes, including for right-to-left languages.
