A pint that pours, sloshes and refracts the real room behind it - because the camera is live, not a picture. Tilt to drink. Nothing is faked except the beer.
Something's finally real about a virtual pint: the room behind it.
Fake Beer puts a photorealistic drink on your screen and traces light through it properly - the camera behind your phone is live, so the glass refracts your actual table, your actual kitchen, whatever is really there. Tilt the phone and it pours. Tilt it back and it sloshes, with its own real resonance rather than a canned wobble. Nothing about it is a picture or a video - it is traced, pixel by pixel, from the same physics a real glass obeys.
WHY IT LOOKS REAL
Beer has no colour of its own - it's a filter, and the amber-to-black range comes from how far light has to travel through it, not from a paint bucket. The colours here are derived from SRM, the brewing industry's own colour measurement, so the edge of a pint is genuinely a shade lighter than the middle, the way a real one is. The head is lit by whatever room you're in, not painted white. Tilt the glass and the liquid holds its exact volume at any angle, because the surface is solved geometrically rather than animated.
FIVE DRINKS, TWO GLASSES.
Lager, Bitter, Stout, Red wine, White wine - styles, not products, so nothing here is a real brand's beer. Pints get a choice of nonic or conical glass. Wine gets its own bowl shape, sized differently for red and white, the way a real set of glassware would be.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY.
Don't Spill - fill it to the brim and see how long you can carry it before a drop goes over the rim. Split the Drinks - pour a fresh one and try to stop, by feel alone, at exactly half. Both are graded on what actually happened to the liquid, not a script, and both end with a result you can share.
HELD THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY HOLD YOUR PHONE.
Upside-down mode flips the whole picture so the notch sits by the base of the glass instead of through the middle of the head, for whichever way round you find yourself holding it. Condensation builds on a cold glass over time and wipes away under a real finger, gathering into beads that run downhill as you tilt.
YOUR ROOM, YOUR PRIVACY.
The camera frame goes straight to the screen and is released - nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The one exception: finishing a game and choosing to share composes a single picture for you to send, and only then. Say no to the camera and the glass refracts a synthetic room instead - everything else still works.
NO ADS. NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ACCOUNT.
