LucidCapture is a screenshot tool that lives in your menu bar and stays out of your way.
Press a key, grab what you need, mark it up, and get on with your work. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and nothing needs an account.
CAPTURE
• Region, single window, or full display
• Global shortcuts — ⌃⇧3, ⌃⇧4, ⌃⇧5 out of the box, and remappable to whatever you prefer
• Window captures come out with a proper macOS drop shadow and padding, so they look finished without extra work
• Optional capture delay for menus and hover states, and an option to include the pointer
• Full Retina resolution, correctly tagged — screenshots stay sharp instead of arriving soft and mysteriously doubled in size
ANNOTATE
• Arrows, boxes, highlights, and text labels
• Move, re-edit, or delete anything you have already drawn — annotations stay editable, they are not baked into the image
• Crop to what matters

REDACT PROPERLY
Most screenshot tools draw a black box over a password and call it done — the pixels underneath are still in the file, waiting for anyone who opens it in an editor.
LucidCapture can too, while you are still working. But when you are ready, one click burns the redactions into the image and throws the original pixels away. What you send is what they get.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
LucidCapture ships sandboxed with no networking entitlements whatsoever. It cannot phone home, because it cannot open a connection at all. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no third-party SDKs, and no account to create. Your screenshots are yours.
