The bonus ad timer no longer counts down while your x2 boost is running. It used to burn three minutes of the wait during the bonus itself, which meant you were paying for the boost while you were still enjoying it. Now the wait starts when the boost ends — you get the whole bonus, then the whole wait. That wait is now 20 minutes. Critical hits still knock time off the wait, but only if you've bought Emergency Ice Pack or Cryo Bag Dispenser, and no single crit takes off more than a second. The shave is something you invest in now, not something you start with.
