FOUR WAYS TO CHECK A PRODUCT Scan a barcode, type it in, search by product name, or photograph the ingredients panel when nothing else finds the product. The app checks its own community records first, then the major food databases, and as a last resort looks online for a published ingredient list, quoted with its source. What was and was not recognized is shown before any verdict, so a bad read is visible, not silent. JUDGED BY YOUR SCHOOL, NOT A DEFAULT Pick your branch and school of jurisprudence, then six individual switches - trace alcohol, animal rennet, ahl al-kitab slaughter, ambiguous emulsifiers, shellfish, transformed derivatives (istihala). The same packet can give two shoppers two different, correct answers. Change a switch and every past verdict updates instantly, on your device, with no re-scan. FOUR HONEST ANSWERS, NOT THREE "Doubtful" and "we don't know" are not the same thing, and this app never collapses them. Mushbooh means the sources genuinely disagree. "Not enough to say" means a word on the label could not be identified - and it tells you which one, instead of guessing. SHOWS ITS SOURCES Every ruling names the body behind it and the date it was last reviewed, right on the ingredient page. A recognized halal certification mark on the pack can settle an otherwise doubtful ingredient, and the app says which body issued it. FOREIGN-LANGUAGE LABELS Shopping abroad, or holding an imported product? Photograph the panel in German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish, Polish, Russian or Ukrainian and the ingredients are named for you.
