New travelers to choose from. Distance on Android is now counted correctly even when Samsung Health or Mi Fitness don't share it, using your steps and height. The unread count on a journey card no longer disappears. Your journeys now appear on the home screen the moment you open the app. Got an invite link and installed the app? The invitation opens on its own. Friend requests are easy to find, new followers are highlighted, and the app icon shows your unread count. A new launch screen and fixes.

A new onboarding: get to know the app before signing in and set up your profile right after. The app now follows your phone language, and route and place names are translated. Choose your main character in your profile with a new carousel. The route map now fills the whole window. On the journey scene, the distance to friends updates as you scroll the route. New icon, fixes and speed improvements.

A new story-style onboarding with character selection. Updated journey scenes, companions and expedition equipment. Clearer maps and one character for all your adventures.

Journeys are now cinematic: every route has its own places and scenes, and the road to Mordor gets a detailed map with fog over the unexplored, companions from the book and travelers you can choose for yourself. Everest and the meadow get detailed maps too, and expeditions get new companions and a female adventurer. Travelers walk the ground with a natural gait, and participants on the map no longer overlap. The journey bar now works when you walk alone too: slide your finger along it to revisit places you've passed. In journey stats, tap a day on the chart to see how far everyone walked that day. The route map responds better to gestures. If the app stops receiving steps from Apple Health, the home screen now shows how to restore access.

New: a full-screen route map — zoom in, find yourself or any participant, and explore the places along the way. The journey scene comes alive: tap your walker to make them jump, shake your phone and the whole team hops, tilt it and the scene responds — all with haptics. Slide your finger along the race bar to fly the scene to any participant. Places on the road to Mordor now have their own panoramas and living details. Also: your own stats — how far you walked on any day, week, month or year. Open them from the Today card on the home screen. Races with a deadline: pick a week or a month, and a winner is decided at the end. A person's profile now shows mutual friends, and journey participants show who is online. If several devices count your steps (Garmin, WHOOP and your phone), one is used per day, with no double counting. Journey invites open right in the app, participant photos are always up to date, and signing in is simpler.

The journey to Mordor feels more alive: travellers appear in the scene and on the map, with a race strip beneath your character showing nearby participants. Journey chat is easier to use, with replies and reactions. We also improved participant views and notifications.

All your journeys at a glance — a grid instead of a single-column feed, with unread message counts right on the card. Joined a journey later than everyone else? Your kilometres since the journey started now count too — no head start to chase. Friends now shows follows: who added you, who you follow, and a QR code in the header to invite people on the spot. The tab bar now matches the rest of the Mesto apps. Awards moved into your profile. When Health shares nothing, the app says so plainly, and the journey leaderboard shows "no data" instead of a zero — an empty result and a missing one no longer look the same.

Journeys come alive. The hiker really walks — stride, knee, a pole on the climb, a pack on the back. Every route has its own details, changing every 1.5 km: to Mordor — a garden, a fork, ruins, a waterfall, a raft crossing; up Everest — camps, prayer flags, waterfalls; to the Moon — satellites, stations, comets and a rover; around the world — piers, dunes, volcanic sparks and blooming trails. A panel above the history tells you where you are. • Route history: scrubbing back through the journey now shows the actual day instead of "Day 1". • Fixed notifications: messages in a journey, milestones and awards now arrive, and message notifications show the sender's photo. • Journey members: each participant's role and kilometres are fully visible. • The bottom bar stays readable on any background. • Journey settings: the creator can rename, edit the description and manage members; joining via link is a request; invite anyone on Mesto.

• Journey settings: the creator can rename the journey, edit its description and manage members like in a group — remove, hand over the journey, revoke an invitation. • Joining via link is now a request: the creator sees who is asking, with photo and name, and decides right on the journey screen or in notifications. • Invite anyone on Mesto, not just friends; the Invite button now lives on the journey screen. • Names and photos for every participant, even those not among your friends; tap a participant to open their profile and follow. • Invitations and requests show who invites and who is asking.

• Invite link for a journey: share it in a chat and friends join with one tap. Races take a request the creator approves. • Team label on a journey: “family”, “colleagues” — who you walk with. • Race map shows the gap to each rival; tap a participant to open their profile, and profile photos open full screen. • A new awards collection with updated goals and artwork; earlier awards are kept in the archive. • Journey chat: messages in the right order, a “New messages” marker and inviting friends right from the chat. • People search by name or Mesto @handle, route panoramas, notifications on first launch, fixed links opened from Safari.
