No tour to follow and nothing that talks in your pocket: you press, it tells, it stops. Press the big button and, in a few seconds, a warm voice tells you about ninety seconds on exactly where you are: why the street has that name, what the building on the corner replaced, what happened on this square centuries ago. Then it stops, and points your eyes at something real you can look for. It works on the ordinary street you live on as well as on holiday. Those streets have stories too; nobody ever told them. FIFTY CITIES, PICKED BY HAND Paris, Prague, Venice, Lisbon and 46 more: nine places in each, chosen by a person and told out loud in about ninety seconds, every name and date taken from the sources. Rome is there too. All of them come with Plus. ASK IT ANYTHING After a story, ask a follow-up, typed or out loud. poqui answers from the same sources, and says so when it doesn’t know. ANY CITY, ON REQUEST Type a city in Guides and poqui writes its guide for you in about a minute: an introduction and the places worth hearing, nearest first. YOUR MORNING STORY Each morning, a story about a place near where you woke up waits on Today. If you like, one notification at the hour you choose tells you which: never more than one a day. POSTCARDS Every story you hear becomes a postcard: the title, the town, a line worth keeping. Share it with someone who lives there. A BUTTON ON YOUR IPHONE Put “What’s here?” on the Action Button, on Back Tap or ask Siri, and the world has a button. ENGLISH AND ITALIAN The app and its stories speak English and Italian, anywhere in the world. Stories are written by AI from public sources, mostly Wikipedia, and read aloud in the voice you pick. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Your location is used to find the story, not to follow you. Your postcards stay on your phone. FREE, AND PLUS Your first three stories are free. poqui Plus gives you up to 40 new stories a month, or up to 300 a year on the yearly plan (a Go Deeper chapter counts as two), and opens the fifty hand-picked cities, every city guide and the Go Deeper chapters. Replaying a story is always free. Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
