Say what's on your mind now. ReasonTrace brings it back when you're ready to decide, and later shows you what actually happened.
ReasonTrace is a private place to drop a thought the moment it comes to mind, and to come back to it when you're ready to decide.
DROP IT NOW
"Should I take the offer?" "I should try running." Tap once and say it. ReasonTrace keeps your recording and, where your device supports it, a transcript made on your device. No forms, no account.
IT COMES BACK
Choose when: tomorrow, in 3 days, in a week, or a date and time you pick. A gentle reminder brings the thought back without showing what it says on your lock screen.
DECIDE, OR LET IT GO
When a thought returns, make it a decision, bring it back later, or let it go. A decision records your options, your choice, your reasoning, your confidence, and what you expect to happen.
LEARN FROM WHAT HAPPENED
Set a review date, record what actually happened, and compare it with what you believed at the time. Your original reasoning is kept as it was, so hindsight can't quietly rewrite it.
PRIVACY FIRST
Your thoughts, decisions, and recordings are stored on your device. There is no ReasonTrace account. App lock, privacy cover, export, and deletion are always free.
ReasonTrace is not a diary, task manager, financial adviser, or counseling service. It is a focused tool for learning from your own decisions.
Features include:
• One-tap voice capture with on-device transcription where available
• Reminders at the time you choose
• Thought inbox: decide, later, or let go
• Guided decision capture and outcome reviews
• Searchable, filterable timeline
• Optional app lock and privacy cover
• JSON and Markdown export
• English and Korean interface support
ReasonTrace Pro is available as an optional auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

New in 1.1
• Drop a thought: tap once and say what's on your mind, whether it's "should I?" or "I should try this." No forms to fill in.
• It comes back: choose tomorrow, in 3 days, in 1 week, or your own date and time. Set your default reminder time in Settings.
• Then decide: when it returns, make it a decision, bring it back later, or let it go. Let-go thoughts are kept, not deleted.
• More private: speech is now transcribed on your device only.
• A calmer new look with clearer contrast in light and dark mode.
