When a player arrives, you join them automatically. - Invite links open the game directly, with the room code already filled in. - SHARE uses your phone's own share sheet.

TELL ME WHEN A PILOT SHOWS UP The hardest part of an online match in a small game is being here at the same moment as somebody else. Now you do not have to be. - Tap ONLINE. If nobody is there, ask to be told when a pilot shows up. - We ping you once when somebody starts looking — at most once a day, and never in the middle of your night. Never anybody's name. - Tapping the alert puts you straight in the queue, not on the title screen. - PILOT ALERTS in settings turns it on or off whenever you like.

ONLINE IS ONE TAP Going online used to mean a form: a name, a mode row, a QUICK MATCH button, a room code box. Five decisions before you had met anybody. - Tap ONLINE and you are already searching. No forms, no codes. - The screen says how many pilots are online right now, and how many are waiting in your mode. - A clock, so a four-second wait and a four-minute one do not look the same. - Pick CO-OP, ROGUELITE or DUEL right there — changing it moves you to that queue without leaving the screen. - PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT still starts a solo run and tells you when a partner turns up. - Playing with a friend still works: CREATE GAME and JOIN BY CODE are one tap away.

PLAY TOGETHER, WITHOUT THE WAITING Two tank pilots could be online at the same moment and never know it. Now the game says so. - The title screen tells you when other pilots are online, and a MATCH chip puts you in a game in one tap. - Somebody already waiting? The chip reads JOIN PILOT and pairs you straight away. - Nobody yet? PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT starts a solo run and keeps looking for you. You are asked at your next break — never mid-fight — and the run is saved either way. - New setting: OPEN TO CHALLENGERS, on by default, so another pilot can find you while you play solo.

Arm a contract before a roguelite run to fight under a harder rule - every enemy a scout, a floor of ice, one life and no respawns - and that run pays a multiple of everything you earn. The steeper the wager, the sooner it pays for itself, and the fewer runs live to collect. NEW ON THE WATER. GUNBOAT - an armed raft. While you are afloat and under way, your wake drowns whatever is standing on the bank you pass. Park it and it kills nothing; take it onto dry land and it is just a pontoon. ICEBREAKER - the frost powerup, backwards. Every sheet of ice in the burst shatters into open water, and anything standing on it that cannot swim goes down with it. CURRENTS - rivers that carry you. Upstream is slow, downstream is fast, and letting go means drifting. THIN ICE - cross it and it holds. Stop on it and it doesn't.

Neon Tank Brigade now speaks your language. - English, French and German, picked from your device the first time you play. - Change it any time: SETTINGS > LANGUAGE. The switch is instant, no restart. - Every screen is translated, from the menu and the controls reference to the boss callouts and the power-up guide.
