Your video may still be there. A recording that stops mid-take usually keeps its picture data — only the index is missing.
A recording that stopped in the middle — flat battery, full card, a crash, a camera unplugged — usually still contains the video. What went missing is the index that tells a player where each frame sits. Video Repair rebuilds that index.

WHAT IT REPAIRS
MP4, MOV, M4V and 3GP with H.264 or HEVC video. Fragmented MP4 from drones and newer dashcams. ProRes from iPhone Pro and cinema cameras. MKV from OBS and screen recorders. MPEG-TS, M2TS and MTS from AVCHD camcorders. AVI from older cameras and cheap dashcams. Motion JPEG AVI from the cheapest dashcams.
Several of those describe their own picture settings, so they need no reference clip at all.
REFERENCE MATCHING
Some files lose their codec settings entirely. Then a working clip from the same camera, at the same settings, supplies them. The app compares resolution, codec, frame rate and HDR first and tells you plainly whether the clip fits — instead of running a long repair that was never going to work.
HONEST ABOUT LIMITS
If the picture data itself was overwritten, nothing can bring it back, and the app says so. Every repaired file is decoded and checked before it is handed over: a file that does not play is discarded, not presented as a success.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything happens on your iPhone. Your video is never uploaded, and there is no account.

Brings the sound back: phone videos that lost their index now keep their audio, and AC-3 and PCM sound are recovered too. Adds Motion JPEG AVI from dashcams.
If one way of rebuilding a file does not play, the app now tries others, and if the end is too damaged it keeps the part that plays. B-frames in HEVC, MKV, AVI and TS files play in the right order again. Contact Support writes the details for you: just tap Send.
