a new home for the library, with more ways to browse. the reader bar now opens the book’s contents and keeps reading settings together.

opening a search result now puts the keyboard away.

small fixes after the 2.0 launch: • on a narrated book's title page, the play button no longer covers the first line. • in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, tale names narrators and languages the way those languages do: "leído por voluntarios", "tale está en español".

tale now reads in seven languages. • over 650 new books in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch, each language on its own shelf. more than 300 have a LibriVox recording. • tale itself speaks Spanish, Italian and Portuguese when your phone does. • narration starts at the beginning of the recording, the volunteer's announcement included. some books used to start a few sentences in. • narration you've started keeps playing on a poor connection. • every book opens on its title page. • when we correct a book's text, it updates without losing your spot.

- Books you've started are saved on your device, so they now open straight away on a patchy connection — between subway stations, on one bar. - Open a book you haven't started while you're offline, and tale tells you so within about ten seconds instead of leaving you on a spinner. - iPhone Duo: tale works on the inner and outer screens. Fold or unfold mid-book and you keep your place, and the reading aloud carries on. - Search has a clear button. - Tap the name at the top of the library to get back to the full list. - Books slide in over the library; swipe from the left edge to go back. - Opening a shelf now moves sideways from the library, and going back moves you the other way. - Tapping the clock at the top of the screen while a book is being read aloud now pauses it and takes you to the cover.

you can now share any book: press and hold its title, or tap (share) in reading preferences. lists, genres, authors and narrators share the same way. search finds a book from words in its title and author together, like “dracula stoker”. poems keep their indentation. downloading a narration for offline listening no longer leaves a second copy behind.

Set a daily reading reminder to return to your book. Find LibriVox readers by name and browse the books they narrate. Get a clear message when a save cannot be accepted. See a quiet notice when a newer version of Tale is available.
