Faster browsing, images, and a fix for interrupted runs — thank you for the feedback. • Clicking a mailbox, an account or a year is many times faster with large archives: the list first fetches the mailbox's messages through a dedicated index and sorts them, instead of scanning the whole archive. • Embedded images — logos in signatures, photos inside the message — are now shown; they were always in the archive. Images from the web are still not loaded automatically (the sender would learn when you read); new is a bar above the message with “Load” for this message and “Always load” as a setting. • If a backup run was interrupted hard (app quit, Mac crashed), messages could remain in the archive whose attachments were never written — unreadable, and no later run picked them up. A message now enters the catalog only once everything it refers to is on disk. • Existing archives heal themselves: such messages are detected, removed from the catalog and re-archived from Mail on the next backup. The step is recorded in the verification logs.

Fix for the search index — thank you for the detailed reports. • Messages that cannot be read are no longer retried in every round. Previously the progress could exceed the total, and with many such messages the indexing never finished. • Anything that could not be indexed is now shown above the list with count and reason; the messages stay in the archive, and the next launch tries again.

Fix for large archives — thank you for the reports. • The app stays responsive while the search index is completed in the background. Previously every access waited for the database; with several hundred thousand messages the app appeared frozen. • The message list is read through a dedicated index and is many times faster with large archives — including paging, filters and search facets. • The archive catalog now runs in WAL mode: reading and writing no longer block each other.

Improvements based on feedback from the first week — thank you. • Inbox now comes first: mailboxes follow Mail's order within each account (Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, Trash, then the rest) — even when your provider keeps them under INBOX. • Accounts can be renamed (right-click the account). The name only affects the display; the archive stays exactly as stored. Account names are also detected more reliably and stay stable. • Subjects and senders appear right after the backup — not only once the search index is complete. If indexing is still running after opening an archive, the list shows its progress. • Deleting from Mail batches its requests to Mail and is much faster with large mailboxes. • Preview snippets without stray “‌” entities from HTML newsletters. • Manual: ⌘0 “Main Window” listed among the keyboard shortcuts.
