PanelScope turns your iPhone into a professional controller for testing an external monitor or display.
Connect a display supported by iPhone and iOS, choose a test, and send a clean full-screen signal to the external display. Controls and guidance stay on your iPhone.
PANEL & COLOR
• Look for dead, stuck, bright, or unusual subpixels with black, white, red, green, and blue screens.
• Check uniformity, grayscale, gradients, contrast, black and white levels, saturation, and color bars.
• Hide pattern names and output information when you need an unobstructed test image.
GEOMETRY & SHARPNESS
• Check scaling, cropping, aspect ratio, edges, fine lines, checkerboards, and sharpness.
• Use native rendering and original-pixel image output where available.
MOTION & FRAME RATE
• Observe ghosting, smearing, judder, and dropped-frame patterns.
• Use moving bars, scrolling checkerboards, a frame counter, and drop indicators.
AUDIO & AV SYNC
• Generate sine waves, square waves, and noise signals.
• Choose frequency, channel, and level.
• Use a visual sync pulse to help assess audio and video timing.
PRO TOOLS
• Browse a categorized library of test patterns.
• Create custom RGB or HEX colors and display selected images.
• Inspect render size, screen mode, color gamut, EDR headroom, and the maximum refresh rate reported by iOS.
• Build automatic test sequences with a configurable interval.
PanelScope generates test signals for visual inspection. It does not automatically identify defective pixels and is not a replacement for a colorimeter or professional calibration equipment. For pixel-accurate checks, a wired USB-C connection is recommended; AirPlay may introduce scaling, compression, or delay.
