ChooseBrowser turns every link into a choice. Set it as your default browser once, and whenever you click a link in Mail, Messages, Notes, Slack, or any other app, a compact picker appears listing the browsers installed on your Mac. Pick one with a click or a keyboard shortcut, and the link opens there. WHY • Work in one browser, browse in another, keep a third for banking. Stop copying links between browsers by hand. • Teach it once: press ⌥↵ and that site always opens in the browser you chose. Review or remove those rules any time. • It learns. Keep choosing the same browser for a site and it moves to the front, so the right one is already under ⌘1. • Keyboard first: ⌘1–⌘9 opens a browser instantly, ⌘C copies the link without opening anything. FEATURES • Lists every installed browser automatically, with icons • Per-site rules that can match a path, so one site can route to two browsers • After a one-time local setup, open links in a specific Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, or Chromium profile • Learns which browser you prefer per site and puts it first, with the reason shown • Optional: opens the obvious choice for you after a short countdown you can always stop • Optional: syncs rules and preferences to your other Macs through your own iCloud • Drag to set the picker order, which also sets the ⌘1–⌘9 shortcuts • Hide the apps you never want links to open in, and bring them back whenever you like • No accounts, no tracking, no analytics HOW IT WORKS ChooseBrowser registers as a handler for http and https links. After you make it your default browser (System Settings › Desktop & Dock › Default web browser), macOS sends every link to ChooseBrowser. It shows the picker, hands the link to the browser you pick, and quits. Your rules and preferences stay on your Mac unless you turn on iCloud sync. Requires macOS 26 or later.

Chrome, Edge and Brave profiles now open reliably, including on Macs where the profile helper's folder was missing. Settings › General can set ChooseBrowser's language on its own — English, 简体中文, 日本語 or 한국어 — without changing the language of your Mac. Every keyboard shortcut in the picker works: ↑ ↓ to move, ↩ to open, esc to dismiss, ⌥↑ ⌥↓ to reorder, ⌥↩ to remember this site, ⌘1–9 to open by position, ⌘C to copy, and ⌘R to write a rule. The picker can also be dragged by its header. A browser with several profiles keeps its plain entry too, for whichever profile it already has open. Opening several links at once no longer stops at the first one that fails. Settings › About has a new Copy Diagnostics button for support requests; it never includes the links you opened.
