Made for iPhone Duo: close the phone at bedtime and the carousel keeps turning on the cover screen. New: cats, birds, Philippine wildlife and four real dogs.
Your child winds it. Free to try. Pay once. No ads, no subscriptions, nothing collected.
A small wooden carousel music box. Your child turns the brass key, lets go, and it plays a lullaby on an 18-note comb, slowing as the spring runs out. A tiny lever stops it. That is the whole toy.
Made for children 5 and under, mostly at bedtime. Babies watch and listen. Bigger hands wind it themselves. Warm, dim, quiet. No sparkles, no rewards, no characters looking at the camera.
Play, stop and change tune from the Lock Screen too.
On the nightstand: turn the phone on its side and the clock stands beside the toy. Add Hele to StandBy, your Home Screen or your Lock Screen, and tap the toy to wind it. Or ask Siri: “Play Twinkle, Twinkle on Hele”, “Play Hele for ten minutes”, “Stop Hele”.
On iPhone Duo the toy goes where the phone goes. Close it and the carousel keeps turning on the cover screen, the clock behind it; open it and it is the same toy, on the same tune. Stand it open like a laptop and the key, the lever and Parents lie on the desk half, under your hand.
Free, with no time limit: five riders (horse, bear, rabbit, duck and cat), six tunes (Brahms’ Lullaby, Twinkle, Twinkle, Ili-Ili Tulog Anay, Rock-a-bye Baby, Hush, Little Baby and Frère Jacques), Sleep mode, the bahay kubo roof, the bedside clock and the lamp.
The Workshop Book has a page for each of your riders, written to be read aloud at bedtime: a short story, a few true facts, and a question to ask your child. It opens from the little drawer on the toy. Buy any pack and the whole book opens.
For parents, behind a press and hold: choose the riders and the tune, how long a wind lasts, a Sleep mode with a timer that slows the music and fades the screen to dark, night dimming, where the lamp stands, and a bedside clock for the nightstand.
The Carousel Collection is one purchase for every rider and tune pack, every new carousel pack when it arrives, and the whole Workshop Book. Or buy packs one at a time. Riders: Farm, Forest, Savanna, Jungle, Winter, Philippines, Cats, Birds, Philippine Wildlife and Workshop Dogs. Tunes: Lullabies, Nursery Songs, Little Classics and Filipino Folk Songs. One-time purchases, shared with Family Sharing, behind the parents’ hold. No subscription.
Bought Hele before it was free to try? Thank you. The Carousel Collection is already yours, with nothing to do.
I made this for my own child’s bedtime, and named it hele, the Filipino word for a lullaby.
Works with VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion. Works on iPhone and iPad.

Close your iPhone Duo and the toy keeps playing, turning on the cover screen with the clock.
Standing open like a laptop, the key and the lever on the desk half are now the toy’s own, in full 3D, with Parents beside them.
On the cover screen, the Parents label no longer touches the date.
