SOUND by CPL OF MNGS
A separate EQ for every app
Only for Mac
Free
Mac
SOUND gives every app on your Mac its own equalizer.
Music too bright in your browser and too flat in your music app? Set each one the way you want it. SOUND remembers, and every change happens live while you listen.
LIVE FROM THE MENU BAR
SOUND lists whatever is playing right now. Click an app to open its equalizer, move a slider, and hear the difference immediately. Nothing to restart and nothing to set up.
EIGHT BANDS AND SIX PRESETS
Shape the sound from 63 Hz to 8 kHz by hand, or start from Flat, Reduce Bass, Bass Boost, Vocal, Podcast or Bright. Save your own curves and use them for any app.
SEND ANY APP ANYWHERE
Each app can follow your system output or go straight to a chosen speaker or pair of headphones, and you can change it while the audio is still playing.
ONE MASTER, MANY APPS
Set a master curve that everything follows, then override only the apps that need it. Switch all processing off from the panel whenever you want.
BUILT FOR THE MAC
A native menu bar app. It follows your Mac's language in ten languages, mirrors its layout for Arabic, and respects Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your audio is processed on your Mac, in memory, as it plays. It is never recorded, never written to disk and never sent anywhere. There are no accounts and no tracking.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Apps no longer go silent when your Mac plays through a mixer, audio interface or other device that can also record, such as Teenage Engineering gear. Their sound now plays at full volume with your EQ applied.
• On mixers and interfaces with more than two outputs, each app's sound now stays on the channels it was sent to.
• If an app plays to a Multi-Output Device, SOUND now leaves its sound as it is instead of silencing it.
• When an app's chosen output is unplugged, its row now shows where the sound is actually playing.
