Hear Assist - Boost Listening is a live hearing booster for iPhone. It captures sound from your microphone, amplifies and shapes it in real time, then plays it through Bluetooth headphones or wired earbuds so speech, TV dialogue, and everyday audio are easier to follow. Place your iPhone near the television, a speaker, a conversation, or any sound you care about. Connect headphones, turn listening on, and keep following the audio while you move around your home. Cook, clean, work, or walk into another room you stay with the sound as long as you remain in Bluetooth range. Hear Assist is a real-time listening booster and tuner. You can perform hearing test to apply calibration settings to equipment accordingly.
LIVE HEARING, INSTANTLY
Open the app and turn listening on. Your iPhone microphone becomes a live pickup. Hear Assist boosts that signal and sends it to your headphones with almost no wait. You hear what is happening around the phone right now. The home screen shows ON and “Listening active.” One tap turns it off. Use wired headphones or earbuds on the same iPhone, or Bluetooth headphones if you want to leave the phone by the TV or speaker and walk away.
BOOSTER, EAR BALANCE, AND SPEECH FOCUS
The booster slider adds gain when voices or TV sit too low, so you do not have to max system volume. Start low, then raise it until speech is comfortable. Ear Balance shifts sound left, right, or center if one ear needs more than the other. Speech Focus is for talk. Switch it on to lift voices and reduce extra noise — soft dialogue, a meeting, or a busy room. Use it with the booster, and still place the phone close to the source.
CUSTOM EQUALIZER
Raise or lower frequency bands while Hear Assist is on. Bring up the speech range, ease harsh highs, or add a little body. Changes apply to the live stream immediately. Small moves usually sound better than slamming every control.
HEARING CHECK FOR PERSONALIZATION
Hearing Check is a short guided session. Listen for pulsed tones, mark what you heard, and apply a suggested equalizer and ear-balance profile to live listening. This check is not a medical hearing test, screening, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are worried about your hearing, see a licensed audiologist.
RECORD WHAT YOU HEAR
Record the boosted audio while you listen. The home screen shows Stop, a running timer, and a live waveform. When you stop, the file lands in Recording List — play, share, or delete. Premium can add longer recording time, noise-cleaned export, and an ad-free app.
