What's new in 1.5 • Radar has its own timeline: the last two hours, then the short-term nowcast, with satellite cloud beneath it for Pro. • Snow Depth is drawn in clear bands at ski thresholds, so thin early-season snow and deep snowpack both stand out. • Public Lands colors are softer and lighter, so terrain and imagery show through. • Private Lands: zoom in and every parcel shows its owner's name, even deep inside a big ranch. • Wind particles stay on in Low Power Mode, at a battery-saving frame rate. • Search suggests show-all lists for cabins, lookouts and hot springs as soon as you open it. • Weather opens on Wind in Paragliding and New Snow in Ski. • Fixes and polish throughout.

What's new in 1.4 • Private Lands (Pro): property lines and landowner names from public county records in 21 states. Tap a name for the parcel's details, or download it for offline use. • Wind: the Wind layer shows wind speed with animated particles, and Wind Particles is an overlay of its own over any weather layer. Barbs fill in while you pan. • Search: show all rental cabins, fire lookouts or hot springs on the map, then tap one for details. • Ski Weather Brief: avalanche danger for nearby forecast zones at the top. • Your enabled modes sync with your account, so a new phone or the website starts with the same modes. • More accurate recorded distance, especially at walking pace and after stops. • Strava imports keep their names even if your export was already unzipped. • Offline areas keep their map styles up to date. • Fixes and polish throughout.

What's new in 1.3 • You stay signed in. Sessions no longer expire after a few days, and you'll never need to restore your purchase because of one. • No signal, no problem: the map opens without signing in when you're offline, and Pro keeps working through long trips away from service. • The Meteogram shows snow as flakes and rain as drops, more of them as it comes down harder, with the hour's snowfall or rain at the needle. Tap either side of it to step an hour.

What's new in 1.2 • Weather Brief: your forecast discussion, sites, stations and alerts on one page. Tap the book button in weather mode, and add places from their sheets. • Paragliding site forecasts: day cards with wind and gusts on every site sheet. Pro adds top of lift, chance of rain and the Thermal chart for any day. • Meteogram in Ski and Trail: sky, temperature and wind for a point as one graph. • Station charts continue into the forecast, with wind barbs, and scroll together. • Backcountry huts and yurts in Ski mode, with a list of every hut in view. • Top of Lift is now free at 3 hour steps. • Press and hold anywhere on the map to see what's there. • Charts scrub sideways without fighting the sheet, and buttons are easier to hit. • Weather Satellite loops load first, then play smoothly. • Fixes and polish throughout.

What's new in 1.1 • Share points, routes and folders with a link. Friends open it in Vertex or on the web. • Folders for your points and routes: hold a row and drag it into one. • Wind arrows alongside barbs, the default in Ski and Trail, plus a quick guide to reading barbs. • Weather Satellite (Pro): the last 48 hours of GOES GeoColor imagery, with a frame scrubber and loop. • 50 ft contours across the lower 48. • Imported activities get real names from Strava and nearby places, and duplicate imports are skipped. • Get any NWS office's forecast discussion by email. • Redeem App Store offer codes right in the app: Settings or the Pro screen → Redeem Code. • New to Vertex? Your map starts with a few examples to explore: a flight, a ride, a ski tour, a point and routes, and a Photo Basemap. Remove them anytime in Settings. • Clearer cloud readouts (Low / Mid / High), new snow in inches, and recording stats that start fully expanded. • A simpler weather header, with all layers in one sheet. • Fixes and polish throughout.
