Is this photo real, or was it made by AI?
RealCheck AI reads every photo twice, with two checks that never see each other's answer:
1. THE FILE. Camera model, lens, exposure, editing history, and any signature an AI generator left behind — Firefly, DALL·E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and more. Read entirely on your phone; the file data never leaves it.
2. THE PICTURE. Hands, text, lighting, reflections, skin, background geometry. The visual analysis looks for the mistakes generators still make — and for the things only a real camera produces, like sensor noise and lens flare.
Then it weighs both. When they agree, you get a clear verdict. When they disagree — a "camera original" that looks generated — it tells you exactly that, instead of hiding the conflict inside one number.
WHAT YOU GET
• A verdict band, from "Likely real" to "Likely AI-generated"
• The evidence behind it, line by line, in plain language
• The raw file data, so you can check the reasoning yourself
• A confidence level that drops when the file has nothing to say
• Video: up to 8 frames are sampled across a clip and judged together, so identity drift, impossible motion and flicker between frames get caught. The video itself is never uploaded.
• A share card with the photo, the verdict and the evidence in one image
HONEST BY DESIGN
No detector is proof. Results are an assessment of the evidence, never a certainty, and the app says so on every result. A photo with no file data — which is most photos after they pass through a messaging app — is not treated as suspicious; it simply lowers confidence.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
A resized copy of the photo, or a handful of video frames, is sent to our own server for the visual check and deleted within 3 days. History stays on your device. No account, no name, no ads, no third-party analytics SDK.
Works with photos from your library or camera and with videos from your library. Available in English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese.
