Nine Pockets keeps your family's Pokémon TCG cards straight — one app, two modes. Everything lives on your device and backs up to your account, so a lost phone is not a lost collection.
KID MODE — a binder that's really theirs
• Point the camera at a card, or tick it off a set list, and it lands in their binder, named and numbered.
• No prices — just rarity. Gold dots and plain words, from "Everyone has these" to "Really rare".
• Lay the binder pages out on screen, then move the real sleeves once.
• Every set as its real checklist: the cards they've pulled in colour, the rest still out there.
• Trades with a brother, a sister or a friend sit on a tipping scale, so a fair trade looks fair without a dollar sign anywhere.
• Their own tablet: make a six-digit code on your phone, they type it in. No email, no password.
GROWN-UP MODE — your binder with the money turned on
• Catch it with the camera: name, set, number, holo or reverse, and the market price.
• Chase the hits — your ex and illustration rares in colour on each set's checklist.
• Every set as a real checklist you can tick off — on the web too, before you ever sign in.
• See what to chase next: a rail of cards you haven't got, picked from the sets you're deepest into.
• Trade without getting fleeced: both sides priced before you swap, across the table or with another family.
• Share your binder with another family — names, numbers and sets, never your photos or notes.
• Post a link to a binder page anyone can open. No sign-in, no prices, and nobody's name on it.
• What the collection is worth today, how that has moved, and your three best pulls on a podium.
WORKS ON AIRPLANES
The whole collection lives on your device. The binder, the cards, every set you've browsed — none of it needs a connection. Sign in and every change backs up to your account moments later.
Got hundreds already? You don't have to photograph them all. Tick them off a set checklist, photograph a whole binder page at once, or paste a list you already have.
Free while in beta. No ads, no tracking, no card data sold to anyone.
Nine Pockets is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of their owners. Card images are shown for identification.
Trade with anybody who opens your binder link. Share a binder and a visitor can pick cards off the page, sign in, put cards of their own on the table and send you a proposal. It arrives in Offers like any other trade, with a line saying how to reach them, and you answer it with yes, a counter, or no thanks. You decide whether a link takes proposals at all, and a child's binder link never does.
New here and holding no cards yet? The app walks you from the link to a sent proposal. Photograph one card, tick one off a set, or type one in, and it comes straight back to your trade with that card already on the table.
Reverse holos, Poke Ball and Master Ball cards finally look different from the plain printing. The printed picture is the same for every one of them, so the app draws the foil over it, in your binder and on a shared link.
The cards worth looking at wear a gold ring, in your binder and on a shared link, and a shared link can be narrowed to only the pages that hold one.
A pocket you have not filled yet shows the card it is waiting for, faded, with its name readable over it, and tapping one offers to add that card. A set binder also notices when it is short of a pocket and puts it right.
Pages can be four across and three down, and browsing a set on a tablet draws four cards across instead of three.
Smaller things: Last added really is the last card that came in, a card whose number belongs to a different card in that set says so, energies and cards with a name in brackets find their own pockets, and a page taken out of a section with a rule stays out.
