mettā cards are brief, pocketable reminders for life. Each card carries an intention that begins "may i" on its front and a brief, memorable insight on its back.
The app puts one card on your watch at a time. Turn the Digital Crown to move through the deck, and tap to turn the card over and read the verse. Or leave it on card of the day: the same card for everyone, changing at midnight, so the deck comes to you one intention at a time.
Link the watch to a free metta.cards account and a third choice appears, My Deck: only the cards you keep. Keep a card from the wrist by tapping the bookmark beneath it, or keep cards on metta.cards in your browser. Either way the two stay in step. Linking is optional. Everything else works without it.
A complication carries the card onto the watch face, so it is there when you glance down and you don't have to open anything. There are two kinds: the card's opening line beside the mettā mark, or the card's own image. In My Deck, the complication moves through the cards you've kept.
The deck downloads once and stays on the watch, so it works without your phone and without signal.
The cards are free and published at metta.pub. The same deck is in your browser at metta.cards, and it exists in print at metta.pub/s.
