Tipstack is for anyone paid by the hour who counts on tips: servers, bartenders, baristas, delivery drivers, salon and hotel staff. Clock in, log what you made, and know what your check should say before payday.
Did I clock in?
- One big Start/End button, breaks, and "I started at…" for the nights you forgot.
- A running timer on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, with an End shift button that works even when the app is closed.
- A home screen widget, and an Apple Watch app with the timer on your watch face.
- Save the hours you work most and fill a whole month of shifts at once.
- An optional reminder to clock in when you get to work, using the time you really arrived.
How much did I make tonight?
- Cash tips, card tips, tip-out, sales, section and notes on every shift.
- Tip-out suggested from your restaurant's own rule: % of sales, % of tips or a fixed amount.
- The tip pool split by hours or points, with your share worked out.
- A photo of your checkout slip or time clock, kept with the shift.
Is my paycheck right?
- Overtime by state: the federal 40-hour week, California's daily and 7th-day rules, Alaska, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Kentucky and Puerto Rico, plus the 8/80 rule for hospitals.
- Also Canada (Ontario, Québec, B.C., Alberta), the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, South Africa and the UAE.
- Tipped minimum wage done right: overtime on the full minimum, and a warning when wages plus tips fall short of it.
- Night, weekend and holiday differentials, meal deductions, time-clock rounding and California's split-shift premium.
- Weekly, biweekly, semimonthly or monthly pay periods, with your payday.
- Type in your real pay stub and see the difference.
What if they say I never worked it?
- Every shift remembers when it was created and each time it was edited.
- CSV and PDF exports, or a claim pack with your employer's details, weekly totals, notes, edit history and your photos.
- A monthly tips report for your employer (Form 4070) and your total so far this year.
When do I make the most?
- Your best days of the week, your real hourly rate with tips, this month against last month, and your goals.
Who sees my shifts?
Only you. You don't sign up, nothing is tracked and there are no ads. Shifts live on your phone, with an optional copy in your own iCloud so they come back on a new phone. Face ID lock and a backup file are included.
What's free and what's Pro?
One job is free for good. Tipstack Pro adds the Pay tab, state and country rules, more than one job, tip-out rules, photos and exports. You can try all of Pro free for 7 days before deciding.
Ways to get Pro
- Tipstack 7-day Trial: free, lasts 7 days and ends on its own; it never renews.
- Tipstack Pro (lifetime): $14.99, paid once, not a subscription. Works with Family Sharing.
- Tipstack Pro Monthly: $2.99 a month, auto-renewable subscription.
The monthly plan is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. It renews every month unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current month ends; the renewal is charged within those last 24 hours. Turn it off any time under Subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

I redid the Pro screen. Now it looks like a pay stub and shows what Pro adds, line by line. The free week is at the top, and you don't pay anything to start it.
The Pay tab, when it's locked, now tells you that you can try it free for 7 days.
In Stats, this month is now compared with the same days of last month, not the whole month. Before, in the middle of the month it always looked like you were behind.
