What if chess had evolved? Welcome to C.A.T.E. (Trader Chess), a new take on classic strategy. We've built on the foundation of traditional chess but added a game-changing new piece: the Trader. Now you can mount allies, rescue captured units, create unique combinations, and battle across a larger 10x10 board where every move opens up new possibilities. Meet the Trader This unique piece has the ability to mount and ride friendly pieces. You can let a Trader hitch a ride on a Knight, Bishop, or Rook to quickly cross the board, detach for surprise attacks, or even rescue your captured allies. If a Trader mounts your King, the King becomes empowered and gains entirely new attack patterns. The tactical combinations really are endless. Multiple ways to play: Trader Mode (10x10): The definitive experience. Play on a massive 10x10 board with the full set of classic pieces, plus two Traders per side. Hybrid Mode (10x10 with Void Corners): We removed the corners of the board for this one, forcing intense, centralized combat. Classic Mode (8x8): Prefer the original? You can always switch back to a traditional 8x8 board and play standard chess anytime. Play your way: Online Multiplayer: Create a room and share the code with friends, or jump right into an active match. Play vs AI: Test your skills against our built-in AI across multiple difficulty levels to perfect your strategy before facing real opponents. Local Multiplayer: Pass and play with a friend on the same device. Study Mode: Sit back and watch two computer opponents battle it out so you can learn new opening strategies. Features you'll love: Customization: Enjoy a clean, modern interface with customizable board themes (like Dark, Wood, and Marble) and premium piece sets. Match Replays: Review your games with an interactive move history and full export support (PGN formats) to analyze your matches. Privacy First: We believe you should just be able to play. There is no complex account creation or sensitive data collection. Just pick a display name and jump in.
