Papaya Video Call for Dancers

Which count still breaks?

Only a few counts break. Those are the ones worth writing down. Papaya is a private choreography log for dancers. Split a song into blocks by bar and count, mark each block as landed, not yet, or breaking, and put into words what actually goes wrong - the weight stays back, the arm leads too early, the turn lands a beat late. The log is yours first. Clips, crews, and video calls sit around it, never in front of it. - EVERY COUNT GETS A STATE - Add a song, cut it into blocks, and give each block one of three states. A block holds your note on what breaks, the practice video you shot of it, and the history of every state change you made. Weeks later you can still see which eight counts kept falling apart, when they finally settled, and what you changed to get there. Edit or delete any song or block whenever you want. - YOUR PROGRESS, IN PLAIN CHARTS - The app opens on the song you worked on last, so the next session starts in a tap. Charts count the blocks you locked in week by week, and every song carries its own breakdown of landed, not yet, and breaking. Tap a chart to open the detail behind the numbers and see which routine is actually moving. - THIRTY SECONDS, SHOT UPRIGHT - Record up to thirty seconds in portrait, or bring in a longer take from your library and trim it down. Add a caption, tag the block it belongs to, and choose who it goes to: keep it to yourself, send it to your friends, or send it to one crew. There is no public feed here. A clip goes only where you send it, and deleting one takes a tap. - THE PEOPLE ON THE SAME SONG - A crew is a small group you join with a code. Its timeline fills with the blocks members lock in and the clips they share, and its message board is where a disagreement about how to read a count gets settled. Beyond your crews, you can browse what other dancers post, search by ID to follow someone whose work you want to keep up with, and once the two of you follow each other, a video call opens between you. Timing in the arms is far easier to show on camera than to describe in text. - GUIDE VIDEOS THAT KEEP PLAYING - Short guide videos cover weight, isolation, timing, and the small habits that make a routine read clean. Send one to a floating window and it keeps playing while you write up a block, and it keeps going when you put the app away. Open Papaya, cut tonight's routine into counts, and start marking what lands.
