Start the free 10-minute School Readiness Check to see the skills your child is already building for Reception — and get a personalised plan for what to practise next.
Is my child ready for school? Ready Steps helps you answer that — calmly, and without the guesswork.
Start with a free 10-minute School Readiness Check: a gentle, playful adventure guided by Pip the fox, not a test. It looks at the everyday skills children build before Reception — talking and listening, early letters and sounds, early numbers, thinking and problem-solving, and understanding the world.
You get a clear learning profile in plain language — where your child is showing strength, and where a little practice will help most. No scores to worry about, no labels, never a diagnosis.
Then Ready Steps builds a personalised 10-minute daily plan — three to five short activities that adapt as your child grows more confident, plus a simple "Try this together" activity to do at home with no screen and no prep.
Why parents choose Ready Steps • Built around the skills UK children develop before Reception • Personalised — not another giant pile of generic games • Just 10 minutes a day • A clear parent dashboard and weekly progress • Activities for children and grown-ups • Completely ad-free • Privacy-first: no child photos, no location, no tracking
Free The full School Readiness Check, your child's profile, a daily 3-activity taster, and home activities each week.
Premium (£5.99/month or £39.99/year) The full 5-activity daily plan, the complete learning journey, weekly reports, every home activity, and up to four child profiles.
Ready Steps is a learning aid, not an assessment of development. If you have concerns about your child's development, speak to your health visitor or GP.
