《三國演義：像素英雄傳》是一款 8bit 風格的單機回合制 RPG，把整部三國演義做成可以親手走完的故事。
■ 邊玩邊讀演義
從第一回「宴桃園豪傑三結義」到「隕大星漢丞相歸天」，共 53 章、54 個回目。對白盡量貼近原著，每個角色都有像素頭像；「演義回顧」隨時可以翻閱走過的回目原文。
■ 41 張手繪像素地圖
涿縣、虎牢關、徐州、許都、長坂坡、赤壁、五丈原……每張地圖都不是一條直線，有岔路、河流、城池與營寨，處處有人可談。關卡首領就站在地圖上，走進範圍直接開打，戰前戰後都有演出——呂布縱馬下關、張飛長坂橋一喝、諸葛亮草船借箭。
■ 回合制戰鬥，最多 6 對 6
136 種敵將，騎乘者有專屬立繪：呂布赤兔、趙雲白馬、關羽得赤兔之後立繪也會上馬。技能、增益、伏兵、敵方增援波、回合限時（古城會三通鼓）、撐過回合即勝（草船借箭）。
■ 22 位武將，163 個技能
劉備、關羽、張飛、趙雲、諸葛亮、黃忠、馬超、魏延、姜維……等級上限 99，技能學到 60 級。隊伍會拆散也會重聚：關羽千里走單騎、趙雲長坂坡單騎救主時，地圖上走的就是他們。關張殞落後，遺志會傳給留下來的人。
