Your distracting apps lock every morning and night. Read a stranger's gratitude note to open them, and leave one of your own before bed. Grateful Gate locks the apps that pull you in, and the only way through is a moment of gratitude. Twice a day, at times you choose, your distracting apps lock. To open them again, you pass a gate. THE MORNING GATE Open a sealed envelope and read a short gratitude note written by a real person somewhere in the world. "Someone from Lisbon, Portugal said: I'm grateful for my neighbor, who left soup on my step when I was sick." Take a moment with it, then your apps open for the day. THE NIGHT GATE Before bed, answer one simple question and write what you're grateful for. Share it anonymously and it may be the note that starts a stranger's morning. Or keep it private, just for you. Then your apps open until morning. WHY IT WORKS - No skip button and no emergency unlock. A blocked app stays blocked until you pass the gate. - It takes about a minute. Long enough to break the reflex, short enough to keep doing. - A daily gratitude habit, built into something you already do dozens of times a day. REAL NOTES, KEPT KIND - Every note starts with "I'm grateful for" and is 240 characters at most. - Every shared note is checked before anyone can receive it. Notes with names, handles, links or anything hurtful are never shared. - Notes are anonymous. Writers sign with a city, a country or no place at all. - See something wrong? Tap the flag to report and block: you'll never see notes from that writer again. SEE WHO YOU REACHED React to the note you read with "Made me smile", "Needed this" or "Same here". Your home screen shows how many strangers wrote back to your notes this week, and keeps every note you've read and written. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no email, no location permission. Your city comes from a search you choose, and private notes never leave your phone. SUBSCRIPTION Grateful Gate Pro unlocks app blocking and the daily gates. It is a yearly subscription with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID account settings. Ratings & Reviews

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

Vision Screen is now Grateful Gate. Your distracting apps still lock twice a day, but the way through is new: each morning you read a gratitude note from a real person somewhere in the world, and each night you write one of your own. Share it anonymously or keep it private. Also new: a fresh look, reactions on the notes you read, and a home screen that shows how many strangers your notes reached this week.
