A cut-paper night with weather in it, made to be fallen asleep to. Fulgor Paper is a landscape of stacked paper silhouettes - ridges, hills, a cabin with its windows lit - under a sky where the moon rises, crosses, and sets, and thunderstorms roll through on their own clock. Clouds drift in from one side, thicken until they hide the moon, flash from inside, and clear out the other. Rain falls between the ranges. Pines lean when the wind is up. Every land is generated fresh from the date, so tonight's is yours and tomorrow's is new. The sound is generated too, not recorded: rain, wind, and thunder that arrives after the flash, later the farther the storm. It never loops, because there is nothing to loop. It is built to sit on a nightstand for eight hours. It dims itself over the first twenty minutes to a glow you can just make out from a pillow. A tap hides every control. The sleep timer fades sound and light out together and then stops. It keeps playing with the screen locked. There is no account, no sign-in, no network, no ads, and nothing collected. Open it, tap Begin, and put the phone down. Settings, behind the faint pill at the bottom right: - Land: Ridgeline, Forest, Mesa, Coastal, Islands, or a new one from the date - Palette: Blue night, Ember, Moonlit silver - Storm: Distant, Passing, or Overhead - how close they come - Sleep timer: 15 minutes to 2 hours - Volume
