A NEW LOOK, AND A GAME THAT FINDS YOU • Online searches for a player right away, and the game starts by itself when one is found. • New menus: big cards, readable type, one tap to play the computer. • Play while you wait: you join the table as soon as someone arrives. • Stay reachable: match alerts and invites, one switch away. • Share invites with your phone's own share sheet. • Invite links open the app, with the code already filled in.

FIX: PLAY ONLINE NO LONGER STARTS A GAME ON ITS OWN • Going online could drop you straight into a game against bots. It was taking a table whose players had all left and treating it as a match. Fixed. • The search now waits for a real person, shows a clock and says who else is looking, and only sits you down when somebody is actually there. • Two people who both tap PLAY ONLINE now find each other — they end up at the same table with no tap from either. • Tables whose players left are still one tap away, under SIT DOWN, where choosing one is your decision.

A TABLE THAT WAITS FOR YOU • Tables no longer disappear when their players leave. Open one, close the app, and whoever arrives later sits down at it — with your pieces exactly where you left them. • YOUR GAMES: every match you are in, whose turn it is, one tap to go back. No room code to remember. • Play a turn at a time: your turn is held for you and you are told when it comes round, so two people can share a game across a whole day. • The online screen now always says who you can play with — and when nobody is around, it tells you when somebody last played and offers to notify you when someone turns up. • The title screen tells you when it is your turn.

PLAY TOGETHER • PLAY NOW: sit down at a live online table in seconds. Bots keep the seats warm and hand them over as people arrive. • The title screen shows how many people are playing online right now. • Notifications you choose: your turn, a friend at your table, people playing now, and an evening Ludo hour. Change them any time with the bell. • Your seat is kept 30 minutes while you share an invite, and a dropped connection rejoins by itself. • Online, a throw with only one possible move plays it for you. • A new icon: the board itself.

A NEW ICON, RENDERED FROM THE GAME ITSELF The app icon is no longer a drawing of the game — it is Ludo's own pawn, rendered from the same mesh and lit by the same daylight the board uses. What you see on your home screen is what you see when you play.

A small maintenance release. The game plays exactly as before; this update brings a gameplay preview to the App Store page so you can watch a round before you download.

The game now opens in portrait on iPhone and iPad, the way it was designed to be played — a previous release locked it to landscape by mistake. On-screen controls also now clear the notch and Dynamic Island.

Ludo answers back. Dice, captures and home runs now have cues with real bodies, the music arrives at the two moments that earn it, and haptics land on the moves that matter. The two-throws opening reaches the Cameroonian table: the owed second throw banks a second pip into your pool instead of ending the streak. The rulebook now tells the truth about which rules are on by default. Fixed: the centre no longer covers the cell a race ends on, and the streak cue stops shouting SIX at a 2.
