SIRI Ask Bingester out loud. Say "Bingester" in the phrase: "What's on in Bingester tonight?" "What's next in Ghosts in Bingester?" "Any new episodes in Bingester?" "When does Ghosts come back in Bingester?" "When do the Chiefs play next in Bingester?" Siri can also mark the next episode watched, add a show or remove one, and it always asks before it changes anything. Every phrase works in the Shortcuts app too, and on the Action button. TICK OFF FROM THE WIDGET Up Next now has a checkmark button on every row. Tap it to mark that episode watched without opening the app, and the widget moves on to the next one. FASTER Bingester is much quicker with a big library. It opens and comes back from the background without freezing, ticking off an episode no longer stalls, and My Shows scrolls smoothly. FIXES Every team's logo now shows in the Game Day widget, and team badges are colourful so they stand out.

WIDGETS Add Bingester to your Home Screen: Up Next shows the next episode of what you're watching, Airing Today lists tonight's episodes and what's ready to stream, and Game Day shows your teams' next games, with the score during a game. On the Lock Screen, see how many new episodes are waiting. Tap any of them to jump straight in. WHEN SHOWS RETURN Shows now say when they're back ("Returning Mar 12 · Season 4") or that they've ended, on the show's page and in My Shows. WATCH ON ANOTHER SERVICE When a show is on more than one service, an Other services menu under the Watch button opens it in whichever app you choose. USER'S GUIDE Settings has a new User's Guide: every feature, how to use it, and pictures showing where to tap.

UP NEXT Every show you're partway through now shows its next episode in My Shows, and Discover has a new Continue Watching section with the shows you watched most recently, so picking up where you left off is one tap. CATCH UP IN ONE GO Long-press an episode and choose Mark Watched Up to Here to check it off along with every earlier episode that has aired, across all earlier seasons. FIND YOUR SHOWS My Shows now has a search field, and a filter button to show only what's on your services or has new episodes. NO KEY YET? If you haven't added a Watchmode key, Bingester now shows what the free key adds (where your shows stream, the Watch button, My Services and recommendations) and how to get one in about two minutes. It appears once after each update until you add a key, or you can turn it off. FIXES More dependable recommendations, a tidier "On your service" label, and all four tabs now fit on iPad at the largest text sizes.

RECOMMENDED FOR YOU Discover now has a Recommended for You section: up to ten shows like the ones already in My Shows, picked from Watchmode's similar titles. Each one says why ("Because you watch...") and whether it's on one of your services. Add it with a tap, or swipe it (or long-press) to say Not Interested. Recommendations need your own free Watchmode key, the same one that powers streaming info. JUMP TO A SHOW My Shows is now grouped A–Z. On iOS 26 or later, letters also run down the right edge: tap one, or drag, to jump straight to a show. MORE DEPENDABLE UNDER THE HOOD A new streaming episode now triggers its notification the moment it's out, even when the network's own date is still tomorrow where you are. Background updates now finish cleanly if iOS cuts them off early, launching the app offline no longer shrinks your window for catching up on missed episodes, and artwork now uses less memory.

FASTER, STEADIER UPDATES Bingester now checks your shows several at a time, so what's airing and what's ready to stream appear sooner when you open the app. If the show database asks it to slow down, it waits and tries again instead of skipping a show until the next check. STREAMING RELEASES, ON YOUR DAY Outside the US, a streaming original is now filed under the day it actually arrives where you are, and the morning notification lists it that day. SMOOTHER SCROLLING Recently Watched loads only what it shows, posters are prepared before they reach the screen, and My Shows does less work as you scroll.

I'm not a professional developer. We cut the cord, went all-in on streaming, and then nobody in the house could work out when our shows were on or which service had them. I built Bingester to solve that for my own family. It worked, so here it is in case it helps yours. Bingester keeps track of the shows you're watching and the episodes you've actually seen. Tell it which services you subscribe to, and My Shows marks the shows you can watch right now, while a show's page gets a Watch button that opens it in that service's app. This is an optional extra rather than a built-in feature. It runs on Watchmode, and you'll need to add your own free Watchmode API key in Settings to switch it on — it takes a couple of minutes at api.watchmode.com. Everything above works without it. KNOW WHAT YOU CAN ALREADY WATCH Tell Bingester which streaming services you subscribe to, in Settings under My Services. My Shows then marks the shows you can watch right now, instead of leaving you to work it out from a list of six services. OPEN A SHOW WHERE YOU WATCH IT A show carried by one of your services gets a button that opens it in that service's own app, on the show itself. No searching for it again by hand.

WHERE TO WATCH, FOR WHERE YOU ARE A show's "where to watch" list could name a service that carries it in another country but not in yours — so a US viewer might be told a show was on Netflix when only Netflix Canada had it. Bingester now asks only about your region, and ignores anything from outside it.

FOLLOW YOUR TEAMS A new Sports tab. Pick your teams from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, college football and men's and women's college basketball, and see the next two weeks of games — the start time in your own time zone, and the channel or service carrying each one. Not a sports fan? Switch the whole tab off in Settings and the app never contacts a sports service at all. LIVE SCORES WHILE THE GAME IS ON Open the Sports tab during a game and the score and the period update as you watch. A game that finished earlier the same day keeps its final score until the end of the day, so you can still see how it went. A HEADS-UP ON GAME DAY "Game Day" arrives at 8am on a day one of your teams plays, with the time and where to watch. It stays switched off until you turn it on, in Settings under Notifications. STREAMING RELEASES, ON THE DAY THEY LAND Shows that premiere on a streaming service — Reacher, Wednesday and the like — can be watched the moment they drop, but "Available to Stream" was waiting until the following day to say so. It now tells you on the release date itself. ALSO FIXED A crash that could strike when iCloud sync tidied up duplicate shows while the app was checking for new episodes. A rare case where a show arriving from iCloud could disappear along with everything you had ticked off. And the 8am notification now follows you across time zones, instead of staying on the one the app last launched in.

SEE WHAT'S WAITING, THE MOMENT YOU OPEN THE APP The Discover screen now opens on a short summary instead of an empty space: what airs today, and what has already aired and is ready to watch. One line per show however many episodes are waiting — tap it to go straight there. Nothing on today? It tells you what's next. EVERY STREAMING SERVICE, NOT JUST THE FIRST FEW A show's screen now lists every service carrying it, under "Where to watch". Before, a row could say "+3 others" with nowhere to go and see them. The same service is listed once now, too, rather than repeated for each reseller. (Needs a free Watchmode key in Settings.) PULL DOWN TO REFRESH A SHOW Pull down on a show's episode list to fetch the latest details from TVmaze right away — useful when an episode has just aired, or when a broadcaster moves one at short notice. EPISODE STILLS THAT ACTUALLY TURN UP Recently aired episodes were being left without their picture for days at a time. They now fill in on their own. Where no still exists at all — common for unscripted shows — the show's own artwork stands in, instead of a blank grey box on every row.
