Most families have a drive like this: twenty years of photos, neatly named folders until about 2016, then years of phone backups nobody has opened since. All Our Years reads the whole drive on your Mac, finds the people, names the events you never got around to, and puts the photos back in front of you.
It opens your archive read-only and never changes a file. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no account and no subscription.
WHAT IT DOES
• Names your events the way you would have, learning from the folders you did name ("2019-08 Lake Week with the Cousins")
• Groups faces into people, pets included, and gives everyone a timeline from baby photos to today
• Finds photos by what's in them: "birthday cake", "beach at sunset", "the blue house"
• Brings back old photos on its own: "this week in 2011", "ten years since this trip"
• A Places map with a pin for every trip, built into the app so it works offline
• Duplicate cleanup, with every decision confirmed by you
