Knora is voice-only comedy for grown-ups. Shake your phone and a bit plays all the way through — one weird voice telling it, a straight man answering, and a turn you did not see coming.
Nothing to read, nothing to type, no microphone. You shake, you listen, you laugh (or you shake again).
MEET THE TELLERS
Nineteen voices, and every one is its own kind of funny — not the same joke in a different accent. Fifteen of them tell it in English, across four accents: American, British, South African and Indian.
• The Anchor — reads it flat, believes none of it
• The Storyteller — long straight setup, and the turn lands on him
• The Son — does his mother's voice, and takes the judgement
• The Communicator — thinks out loud, more precise by the sentence
• The Confessor — cheerful, bleak, always the one at fault
• The Roaster — a real compliment, then one exact wound
• The Whole Family — becomes every relative mid-sentence
• The Riffer — catches himself first, then catches you
• The Contrarian — takes the wrong side on purpose, and stays
• The Host — a full investigation for a two-dollar fee
• The Joke Machine — jokes stacked up, funniest word last
• The Outsider — delighted, precise, does your customs back at you
• The Prosecutor — furious, precise, argues it like a case
• The Doctor — says the blunt word, then misdirects
• The Uncle — does his father's voice and the whole family's
Four more tell it in their own language: Bảo and Lan in Vietnamese, Zhìyuǎn and Xiaoyu in Mandarin.
IT'S 18+ AND IT MEANS IT
Strong language, adult subject matter, dark turns: divorce, debt, work, family, ageing, death, the things people actually say. What we will not do is punch down — no slurs, no hate, nothing aimed at a group, a body, an illness or a bereavement.
