Wave CNTRL: AM FM Radio & Chat
Live world stations & podcasts
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
NEW: 26,000+ free audiobooks, live translated subtitles for podcasts and books, and equalizer settings you can save. 50,000 stations, a chat in each.
Wave CNTRL is radio from all over the world… and the people listening with you. 50,000 stations, podcasts, and a live chat in every station.
WORLD RADIO
50,000 live stations in 200+ countries. Explore by country, region, genre or right on the world map. Top 1000, daily discoveries and stations near you. Over 20 hand-picked collections, including “Close to home”, the local stations of your country.
A CHAT FOR EVERY STATION
Every station has its own live room with the people listening to the same thing as you, right now. Switch stations, switch rooms: the chat follows what you're playing. Private messages, friends, Wizz, and WAVE Together to share a station in real time. Built-in filters, blocking and reporting.
LIVE SUBTITLES, USEFUL FOR DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING LISTENERS
On iOS 26, read what's being said on the radio as it happens, in the original language or translated live into the language you choose. Spoken radio (news, talk, sport) becomes readable, and synced lyrics follow the songs when they exist. The transcription is automatic: quality varies by station and language, and it isn't meant for music alone. Everything runs on your iPhone: nothing is recorded or sent.
SURF
Swipe to discover random stations that match your taste. Not for you? Thumbs down, on to the next one.
WHAT'S THIS?
Identify the song that's playing with Shazam, open it in Apple Music or your favorite service, read synced lyrics and discover the artist's profile.
TUNEMAP
Explore a web of artists: tap a name to see who sounds like them, hear 30-second previews and find stations in the same style. Search a record label too, to browse its artists and releases.
PODCASTS
Search, charts by country and by genre (History, News, Comedy…), favorites, downloads for offline listening, playback speed and silence skipping. Add any podcast by its RSS address or import an OPML file.
IPTV PLAYER
Add your own M3U playlists: program guide (on now and next), categories you can hide, rename and reorder, and stream info. Wave CNTRL doesn't provide any channels.
MAKE IT YOURS
12 full themes with animated scenery, the accent color of your choice and 17 visualizers that dance to the music. An app that looks like you. Even the loading screen changes with your theme.
RADIO PASSPORT
Collect the countries you've listened to, catch Today's Signal and keep your listening streak going.
WHEREVER YOU GO
CarPlay, Apple Watch, widgets, Control Center, Lock Screen, Siri and Shortcuts, Chromecast and AirPlay.
YOUR TOOLS
Recording with per-track splitting, live pause and rewind, radio alarm, sleep timer, equalizer, volume leveling, Last.fm and ListenBrainz scrobbling, and your own music in My Music. Add your own stations and share stations and podcasts as cards.
FREE, PREMIUM OPTIONAL
The app is free and supported by ads. Premium (monthly, yearly or lifetime) removes ads and unlocks the radio ad muter, live rewind, the equalizer, unlimited recording, bigger listening rooms and exclusive themes. Radio ad muting can silence the ads or switch to another station until they're over.
Radio streams are provided by their broadcasters; availability may vary by country.
