• A redesigned look: folders, tags, ratings and people now show pictures from the videos inside them, and the background takes on their colours. • A new Home: a big banner to resume what you were watching or jump to your top-rated videos, under a tidier one-row header. • Switch shares and tag profiles from the dropdowns at the top right of Home. Each share remembers the profile you last used on it. • Tag profiles: make, rename, duplicate and delete them right on the TV. • Servers and shares have pages of their own, and a server can use its own SMB port. • Tiles lift and tilt under your thumb, like Apple TV's own. • Focus moves to the right button when adding a server, plus many smaller fixes.

A new home screen, pinned folders that follow you, and subtitles. • A simpler home screen. Continue watching, your pinned folders, ratings, people, your most-used tags and what your Mac read off each video, each on a row of its own, instead of one long list of every tag. • Pinned folders follow you. Pin a folder on your Apple TV or on your Mac and it appears on both. Everyone who tags has their own pins. • People. The people you have named in FolderVideoPlayer for Mac have their own row. • From the file. Browse by date, place, or camera and quality, as read by your Mac. • Subtitles. Choose Off, the transcript made on your Mac, or a subtitle file (.srt or .vtt) saved next to the video, in three sizes. Nothing covers the picture unless you turn it on. • Switch shares in one press. Change connection lists the other shared folders on your server. Your sign-in and name stay the same. • Easier setup. Adding a server takes four short steps, and your saved shares open with one press. Back from the home screen returns to your saved shares. • Fixed: skipping forward near the end of a video now goes on to the next video instead of playing it again. Tags stay in step with your Mac Your tags now live in one shared file on your server, which the Apple TV and the Mac both edit directly. Tag on either and the other sees it, even when you tag on both at once. A video you move or rename on your Mac no longer shows up twice. Star ratings Favorites are now star ratings, one to five, the same as FolderVideoPlayer on the Mac. Everything you favorited before shows as five stars. Rate a video from the tag panel while it plays. Your ratings appear under Stars on the Home screen, and on every video in the grid. Watch away from home Connect to your library when you're not on your home network, through your own Cloudflare relay protected by an access token. Add the relay address, token ID and secret in Settings under "Away from home". At home the app still connects directly. Smoother playback A video that is missing or can't be played is now reported on screen and skipped, instead of stopping playback. Note: to share tags with your Mac, update FolderVideoPlayer on the Mac to 1.1.16 or later.
