Native QA403 audio analyzer for the Mac: THD, THD+N, IMD, frequency response and power sweeps — live, calibrated, exportable. Try Demo Mode without hardware. ampMeasure turns your Mac into the native front end for the QuantAsylum QA403 and QA402 audio analyzers. Measure amplifiers, DACs, preamps and filters with a fast, calibrated, Mac-first interface — no emulation layers, no Windows VM. FIVE MEASUREMENT MODES • Analyzer — live spectrum and oscilloscope with THD, THD+N, SNR and level readouts, a per-harmonic table (H2–H10), A-weighting, coherent averaging up to 64×, and five FFT windows. Generator with per-channel output enable. • IMD — SMPTE, DIN and CCIF (19+20 kHz) twin-tone presets with per-product breakdown of the intermodulation components. • Frequency Response — log-chirp sweeps with magnitude and delay-compensated phase, or stepped sine with THD at every frequency. The sample rate follows your sweep automatically, up to 192 kHz for measurements beyond the audio band. • Power Sweep — the classic THD+N vs. output power curve into your stated load, with automatic input ranging, safety abort above a distortion limit, and rated power at 1 % THD+N read out directly. • Probe & Loopback Test — read the device's calibration page and verify absolute level accuracy across all 32 range combinations. BENCH-GRADE BY MEASUREMENT, NOT BY CLAIM Every number in ampMeasure is calibrated using your unit's own factory calibration data. Verified in hardware loopback: residual THD below −117 dB, THD+N ≈ −106 dB, level accuracy within ±0.01 dB, noise floor ≈ 1.7 µV. The app respects the analyzer's physics — relay settling, range changes, converter transients — so the first reading is as trustworthy as the tenth. A WORKFLOW THAT KEEPS UP Peak-snapping cursors with A/B deltas, trace hold for before/after comparisons, fixed or auto plot scaling, light and dark plot themes, CSV and PNG export of every plot, and savable measurement sessions. INCLUDES FULL DEMO MODE Demo Mode simulates a complete QA403 — explore every mode, plot and export before connecting anything. REQUIREMENTS & PRIVACY Real measurements require a QuantAsylum QA402 or QA403 (USB). ampMeasure collects no data whatsoever — no accounts, no analytics, no network access. ampMeasure is an independent product and is not affiliated with QuantAsylum.

Power Sweep • More reliable clipping detection. The sweep now recognises when the analyzer itself has run out of headroom rather than attributing it to the amplifier, so the clipping knee reflects your DUT. • Steps the analyzer could not measure cleanly are marked on the plot and excluded from the rated-power figures, so P max and P @ 1 % are always derived from trustworthy data. • Clearer reasons when a sweep stops early, and a warning when the requested stop level exceeds what the selected output range can deliver. • CSV exports now include a column flagging any affected step. Analyzer • Averaging holds at full depth instead of restarting its cycle, so you can stop a measurement at any moment and keep a complete average. • New restart-averaging button to flush the history after swapping a DUT or moving cables. • Changing a setting mid-measurement no longer mixes data from the previous configuration into the average. • The weighting control is now correctly disabled for IMD measurements, which are specified unweighted. • Measurements are now shown for both channels. Each visible channel gets its own readout box; previously only the left channel was measured. • New Copy button puts the readouts of all visible channels on the clipboard as text, together with the generator and range settings, for pasting into a log. Readout text can also be selected directly. • Hold now captures every visible channel, so left and right spectra can both be kept as overlays for comparison. Response • Coherent averaging for chirp measurements (1, 4 or 16 averages) for a lower noise floor on frequency-response runs. Other • ampMeasure now runs on macOS 15 Sequoia and later (previously macOS 26 was required). • Long descriptions in the sidebar now wrap instead of being cut off. • Demo Mode's simulated noise floor is more representative of real hardware. Thank you to everyone on the TestFlight beta for the feedback that shaped this release. Questions and bug reports are always welcome.
